Well... The voice is awesome. The Modernism character of disillusionment in this story is similar to the disillusionment of "I,Too" with the illision of freedom hanging over the African Americans. The whole video stood out, but the realization that money isn't everything stood out.
Both of our pieces of work had a lot of imagery. The poem I analyzed was also straight to the point. Our themes were very different, but they had similar characteristics. I like the voices!
Both of our poems have similar themes of loss and despair. Also you mentioned that your poem was very untraditional at times which is similar to my poem. Your poem had a little more to in than mine does, but overall I think they are kind of similar.
I liked the voices very much. The thing that stuck out to me and also was in relation to my poem was the never achieving happiness characteristic. My story was about a girl who was called a name that she will never forget.
Our poems are very different yours talks of the loss and despair that his man faces but if eventually gets his riches but this doesn't make him happy. My poem talks of new beginnings and the start of life although the kings did loss their power in a small way they are below someone which is new to them.
It did take me a minute to stray from the distraction of your beautiful voice, but when I finally did, your analysis was very detailed. Our literary works were very different, and yours exemplified the modernist characteristics of loss and despair. Great Video.
In the short story that I read, "When the Negro was in Vogue", a common theme was also loss. Our stories also had the similarity of useful descriptions.
Your analysis of the modernism piece was very well done which makes me want to read the story.
The modernism writings that we read had a lot of the same modernism characteristics in them. Mine also had the loss and despair in it, and in my poem, the main character also did not reach her dream or achieve happiness.
